A wet test of the PLA TEMPSC is required annually. Current processes involve manual disconnection and reconnection of the rigging between the PLA TEMPSC and launching system spreader beam. An engineered solution was required to reduce the risk associated with disconnecting and reconnecting the forward slings from the forward padeye, and to design a quick disconnect and reconnect system for the rear slings, in order to reduce the risks involved.
